Blackmore named OCAA Player of the Year for the second straight season

ETOBICOKE - Humber men's volleyball received All-OCAA recognition Wednesday afternoon when the conference announced its yearly awards, which are determined by a polling of the OCAA coaches.

The Hawks were prominently represented at the 2025–26 Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Men's Volleyball Awards, highlighted by multiple major individual honours and all-star selections.

Teyven Blackmore – OCAA Player of the Year

For the second consecutive season, fifth-year outside hitter Teyven Blackmore was named OCAA Men's Volleyball Player of the Year. Blackmore was the most efficient scorer in the province, recording a .388 hitting percentage — the highest among the league's top-10 scorers — while also contributing 28 service aces, sixth-most in the OCAA. Blackmore becomes the first player in program history to earn the award twice.

Blackmore was additionally recognized as the OCAA West Division Player of the Year and a West Division First-Team All-Star. His consistent offensive production, all-around performance, and competitive presence were central to Humber's success throughout the season.

At the national level, Blackmore was named a Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) All-Canadian for the second time, further underscoring his standing among the top players in the country.

Enzo Endres – OCAA Rookie of the Year

First-year outside hitter Enzo Endres earned OCAA Rookie of the Year honours after an impressive debut season. Endres led Humber with 109 total digs and 32 service aces, while ranking second on the team with 183 kills (3.00 per set) and adding 26 blocks.

Endres was also named the OCAA West Division Rookie of the Year and was selected to the West Division All-Rookie Team. His immediate impact on both sides of the ball demonstrated his value to the Hawks' lineup and highlighted the program's continued depth and development.

Alex Segui - Second Team All-Star

The fifth-year libero from Scarborough garnered an All-Ontario selection for the first time, concluding his career third all-time in digs.

The 2025–26 award results reflect another successful season for Humber men's volleyball, with both veteran leadership and emerging talent recognized among the best in the OCAA and across the CCAA.
