Humber Athletics leads the province with 90 OCAA All-Academic selections

ETOBICOKE – Humber Polytechnic continues to set the benchmark for academic and athletic excellence across the OCAA.

A total of 90 Humber varsity student‑athletes have earned OCAA All‑Academic honours for the 2025‑26 season, once again leading all institutions in the province. Building on last year's total of 93 recipients, the Hawks remain the standard‑bearer for success in the classroom while continuing to thrive in competition.

As the all‑time leader in CCAA and OCAA championships, Humber's culture of excellence extends far beyond the playing surface. The same drive, discipline, and accountability that fuel its championship pedigree continue to define its academic success.

Under the guidance of Varsity Academic Coordinators Mallory Lawton and Aaliyah Davidson, Humber student‑athletes have sustained a high level of academic achievement while balancing the demands of varsity sport. To earn OCAA All‑Academic honours, athletes must maintain an honours‑level average during their competitive semester while remaining in good standing on their team—an achievement that reflects both commitment and consistency.

Humber's 90 honourees once again placed the Hawks comfortably atop the provincial standings, ahead of Conestoga (82), Seneca (70), and St. Clair (70). Impressively, Humber has now reached the 90‑selection mark for yet another season, reinforcing a sustained level of excellence that few institutions can match. Rugby, women's soccer, and women's volleyball paced the way with ten selections each.

11 student-athletes were also OCAA Academic Athletic Excellence recipients, earning honours alongside elite athletic achievement in their sport (e.g., OCAA League All-Star) - CCAA sports not included.
