Top-ranked Humber men's soccer (10-2-1) will open the CCAA Championship tournament on Nov. 6 against the Champlain Cavaliers. Game time is set for 10 a.m.

Despite the odds and the stacked schedule, Humber soccer successfully defended its provincial title, defeating Fanshawe, 3-0. The Hawks received goals from Leaford Allen, Alex Baez, and freshman Max Ferrari, while keeper Nicholas Frenati recorded his fourth career OCAA clean sheet.
- The Cavaliers upset Ahuntsic in the RSEQ semifinal before moving on to capture the provincial title in a shootout victory over Montmorency.
- Champlain is led by RSEQ Player of the Year Jared Leheta and his league-leading eight goals in eight matches.
- Humber is 2-0 all-time against Champlain at nationals. In their previous meeting, the Cavaliers were the host team and the Hawks cruised to a 6-0 victory in the 2015 quarter-finals.
Humber soccer is the most successful CCAA program in the country, capturing a national-best seven titles – five since 2012.
The Hawks have won 16 straight CCAA matches – dating back to the 2011 season. Under head coach Michael Aquino, Humber is 12-0 all-time in CCAA postseason action.
Humber is 11-1 (.917) all-time in the quarter-final round and 8-2 (.800) all-time against the RSEQ conference.
OCAA Player of the Year Leaford Allen will receive his CCAA All-Canadian award at the athletics banquet on Nov. 5.
