Jordon Newlands named Humber Female Athlete of the Year
ETOBICOKE - After a seven-year hiatus, Newland's returned to the Humber women's golf team and helped the squad make OCAA history, capturing the fifth consecutive provincial gold medal.
At nationals, she was the only Humber golfer to finish all four rounds in the 70s, finishing second overall and leading the team to a CCAA silver medal.
Newland's finish earned her a CCAA All-Canadian selection for the first time, while becoming the 26th recipient in program history.
