Humber leads the nation in CCAA Academic All-Canadian selections for the fifth straight year
TORONTO – The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) announced the 2024-25 CCAA Academic All-Canadian award recipients Wednesday, and Humber Athletics proudly led the country for the fifth straight year. Humber's 21 selections were the most by any institution in CCAA - two shy of the national record of 23 set during the 2022-23 season.
The Academic All-Canadian Award is the CCAA's most prestigious student-athlete honour, epitomizing a commitment to academic success and athletic achievement.
Since 1997, the Hawks have reached double-digit selections six times - all occurring since 2018. Due to this incredible success in the classroom and in sport, Humber was once again the proud recipient of the CCAA Academic All-Canadian Recognition Award for the fifth straight season, which is presented each year to the institution with the most student-athlete award recipients. MSVU was second with 15 selections, while UKC and VIU finished with 12.
With the continued success of the Varsity Academic Centre – led by academic coordinators Mallory Lawton and Aaliyah Davidson – Humber Varsity once again had another prosperous season in the classroom.
