Matthew Laic named Humber Male Athlete of the Year

ETOBICOKE - For just the third time in program history, Humber soccer completed the treble, capturing a national gold and two provincial gold medals.

Captain Matthew Laic anchored the top defensive team in the nation, as the Hawks recorded five postseason clean sheets and did not allow a tally against at the national tournament – leading to Humber's eighth national title since 2012.

A strong leader on the backline, Laic finished the regular season with six points, including two game-winning goals.

Laic became the 12th player in program history to garner Humber athlete of the year honours.
