LAVAL, QC: The Humber Hawks men's basketball team need to rebound from a disappointing championship quarter-final loss on Thursday night if they wish to stay in the hunt for a national medal. Humber will take on the ACAC champion SAIT Trojans on Friday night at 3:30 pm.
The winner of the game will advance to the bronze semi-final on Saturday morning, while the loser will be relegated to the 7th/8th game.
Humber dropped to the consolation side by way of a 92-89 loss to the host and defending champions from Montmorency. Humber held a 20 point lead in the fourth quarter and then saw the Nomads go on a 27-4 run to steal the win. SAIT lost a tight one to PACWEST's Douglas College, 80-76.
The two teams seldom see each other, with the only time in recent memory a Hawks loss at Nationals seven years ago. Humber came into the event as the number eleventh ranked team in the country, while SAIT was number twelve.
