WELLAND, ON: The Humber Hawks, playing the underdog in two impressive playoff wins at the 2018 OCAA Championships in Welland at Niagara College, will look to complete the trifecta as they will battle the number one ranked team in the nation in the Seneca Sting.
Of note, both teams have qualified for the upcoming CCAA National Championships.
The tip is set for 7:00 pm, at the Niagara College Athletic Centre.
Humber advanced by defeating the 18-2 George Brown Huskies in the quarter-finals, and then a stunning 84-75 win over the 4th ranked and 19-1 Redeemer Royals. Seneca knocked off the host Niagara Knights in their opener, and then needed overtime to defeat the Sheridan Bruins in the semi-final.
Although the two teams do not play in the same division, the teams met at the Holiday East/West Classic over the holidays. Seneca prevailed in overtime in the match played at Humber.
