WINDSOR – The Humber cross country team competed at the 2019 OCAA Championship on the weekend, with the men's team finishing in fourth place and the women's finishing sixth.
Cole Czuchnicki paced the way for the men's squad, finishing in 18th place and shaving almost two minutes off of his time from his first race at Maiden Park on Sept. 14. Freshman Addison Nixon rounded out Humber's top-25 finishers, with a 24th place finish.
Cole Czuchnicki was honoured post-race with the OCAA Fair Play Award.
The women's team was paced by Niagara Falls native Kayleigh Bush, who was selected as a second team all-star with her ninth-place finish. Bush shaved two minutes off her time from Sept. 14, where she finished 12th. Freshman Megan Raso rounded out Humber's top-20 scorers, finishing in 19th place.

Humber cross country will head to the CCAA National Championship on Nov. 9 in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
