Bio

The Humber Hawks successfully defended its Ontario Colleges Athletics Association (OCAA) men's indoor soccer championship with a win over the George Brown Huskies in a penalty shoot out in the gold medal match.

Tied 1-1 after overtime, Humber prevailed on goal kicks to add to its record 17th overall OCAA men's indoor soccer banner.

The Hawks went undefeated at the championship, going 3-0-0 in round robin play on Mar. 6, outscoring their opponents 8-4. Humber required penalty shoot-outs in both playoff games, defeating Conestoga in the semi-finals after going scoreless in regulation and overtime.

Humber third-year defender Luca Pinto (Toronto) was named Championship MVP while Hawks first-year goalkeeper Peter Sheberstov (Richmond Hill) was named a Championship All-Star.
