About

Chloe Rowe is entering her fourth season as head coach of the Humber badminton program in 2025. Rowe was introduced as head coach by athletic director Ray Chateau in October 2022.

Rowe took over for decorated coach Karen Ng, who announced her retirement after thirteen seasons and 14 national championships with Humber badminton.

In her first season at the helm, Rowe made the difficult decision of splitting up 2022 mixed champions Airi Moromisato and Sirapob Kongubon, and her faith in her student-athletes paid dividends. The tandems of Moromisato/Duong and Kongubon/Batra ran the table at nationals, capturing the men's and women's doubles gold medals.

Rowe is one of the most decorated student-athletes in Humber's history, competing for the badminton team from 2016-20. During her four-year career, the Newmarket native captured four OCAA and four CCAA titles, becoming the only female athlete in Humber's history to win four national titles. She also reached the top of the national rankings in women's doubles.

Besides her tremendous accomplishments on the court, Rowe has been just as successful in coaching. She's spent over five years coaching high-performance and non-competition levels at K.C. Badminton Club – one of the biggest clubs in the country. She was then promoted to the manager of non-competition in 2020.

During the 2021-22 season, Rowe participated in the Female Apprentice Coach Program (FACP), a program designed to identify and support female graduating student-athletes who demonstrate the desire and skills for coaching by providing them opportunities in the coaching experience in CCAA sports. Rowe spent the season with the Centennial Colts.
