The Hawks went into Regional's with perhaps their strongest team ever; the program is coming off a season that saw them take home Provincial Titles in both Men's and Women's play, producing six OCAA All-Stars and a pair of CCAA All-Canadians. Humber's roster is again led by those two All-Canadians, Ryan Chow and Tracy Wong. On top of her All-Canadian status, Wong was also named the CCAA's Player of the Year in 2014, while Chow took home OCAA Player of the Year honors.
Besides the return of two of Ontario's best players, the Hawks feature a couple of the country's strongest freshmen in Adam Dong and Olivia Lei. While the duo are in their first year as Hawks, they come in with incredible resumes and will be looking to impress in their first showing on home turf.
Humber has been dominating the province for the past decade, producing ten All-Canadians in that span, by far the most in the province. Since 2008, the program has won an unparalleled fourteen OCAA Gold Medals and eleven national medals, including a pair of gold's. The team has excelled off the court as well; in 2013-14, Badminton produced five Academic All-Stars, as well as Ryan Chow being named a CCAA Academic All-Canadian.
Leading the way for the program is former star Raymond Wong, who took over the team after an outstanding playing career. His resume includes winning provincial championships in doubles and singles play, a CCAA National Bronze Medal in Singles, and a Gold Medal at Nationals in Mixed Doubles. He and his family's contribution to Badminton at the College is so extensive, he was a natural fit to lead the Hawks into the future.
