DOMINATING DOMINGO TABBED AS HUMBER ATHLETE OF THE YEAR

Aleena, who averaged a double/double throughout the 2017-18 season, accomplished this feat in five of the six post-season games for the Hawks this year, missing out of the clean sweep by just a couple rebounds in the gold medal game. She is the perfect combination of offence and defence, evidenced by her 16.4 scoring average and her selection as the OCAA Defensive Player of the Year.

Aleena was a member of the teams that grabbed CCAA medals, two of them gold, over the last three years. This year was even more special, as an injury held her back from being on the floor during the 2015/16 national title run. She certainly put her stamp on this championship team, finishing first or second in scoring and rebounds in each victory.

She is an exceptional talent, and that cannot be disputed, but she brought so much more to the team and the Hawk Family. Aleena is the gregarious leader, one whose smile is bright, and excitable persona is contagious.
