MAGICAL SEASON ENDS WITH HAWKS HIGHEST ACCOLADE
April 03, 2018Ceejay’s basketball resume at Humber is unlike any athlete in OCAA history. She has experienced team and individual success to such a level that it may never be duplicated. On the CCAA National stage alone, Humber was the first, and now the second OCAA female sports team to ever win a national title. The previous year was another national podium finish, a bronze. Individually she is the only OCAA team-sport player to win three CCAA National Player of the Year Awards, and she has been nominated for the OCAA Female Athlete of the Year – Across All Sports award. She is only repeat winner of this award in its twenty-one year history, winning in 2015-16 and 2016-17. Provincial success includes four straight OCAA titles, and three championship Most Valuable Player nods. They are 100-3 with her in the lineup, including 89-0 against OCAA competition. Much has been written about her incredible successes, outstanding play and exemplary leadership, with all of it being spot-on, but the one word that seems to adorn every single post, entry and story is the four letters G.O.A.T – Greatest Of All Time. Accolades: • CCAA National Champions • OCAA Provincial Champions • OCAA West Division Champions • CCAA National Player of the Year • CCAA Championship Most Valuable Player • CCAA All-Canadian • OCAA Player of the Year • OCAA Championship Most Valuable Player • OCAA West Division First All-Star • OCAA Athlete of the Week x2 • Perfect League and Playoff season – 26-0 -
