The Hawks ran out to an improbable easy first set win, not allowing the host team a chance to get into the match early. The defending champions from Mohawk responded as champions do, with a solid set win from start to finish. The third saw the Hawks go behind by three, and then tie, only to go behind by three again and again. But, when they finally grabbed the lead, they kept it for good. The fourth and final set mirrored the third in many ways, including the 25-20 set score.
