The Humber softball team (13-7, 3rd OCAA) will conclude its regular season series with Conestoga (6-12, 5th OCAA) on #HereToPlay night Oct. 10. Game one is set for 6 p.m. and will be streamed live on the Hawks Sports Network with Matt Hamel and Kyle Dalton on the call.
Last Time Out
The Hawks swept the road portion of the series with Conestoga on Oct. 5, winning game one 16-2, and game two, 7-0.
Humber collected a season-high 20 hits in game one.
- Erica Culp is leading the Condors in hitting, going 19-for-53 (.358) through her first 18 games.
- Emily Lush leads the team in the circle with a 3-1 record and team-best 3.74 ERA.
- As a team, Conestoga owns a 6.15 ERA, the third-highest mark in the league.
Oct. 10 will be #HereToPlay night at the ballpark, where Humber Athletics will continue its award-winning Inclusion campaign. For the third straight year, Humber will continue to spread awareness and add to its commitment to diversity, inclusion and gender equity among its fans, student-athletes, coaches, and administrators.
Breaker of Records
With seven RBI in the twin bill against Conestoga, senior Elisa Gregoris broke the OCAA single-season RBI record. Gregoris broke Humber Hall of Famer Jessica O'Quinn's record of 29 from 2012.
Humber currently leads the league in total bases (291) and extra-base hits (58).
My Young Award
Through nine appearances, Myranda Pierson owns a 6-3 record and a league-best 1.55 ERA. Pierson is on pace to become the first Humber pitcher to lead the league in the ERA.
Three Humber players sit near the top of the league in hitting. Elisa Gregoris enters the twin bill hitting .500 (2nd), while Alexa Vassos sits at .426 (5th), and Bonnie Gillingham at .419 (7th).
Elisa Gregoris needs one more RBI to become the first player to record 100 career RBI.
Running Away with It
In the seventh inning on Oct. 5, Aaliyah Davidson recorded her 25th run of the season, setting a new program record.
